A Quick Guide To Prevent Sweating

March 10th, 2010 | Tags: , , , , ,

There is nothing as normal as sweating. We sweat during different points of the day. Sweating is a means of regulating your body temperature. Your brain is a very intelligent organ.

If it becomes to cold outside, your body will naturally want to warm you up by producing heat. In the opposite situation, your body sweats to cool you off when the environment is too cold.

There are a number of things that one can try to prevent sweating. If you are one of those people, you can try the following things:

The very first thing that you can try to do is to use an antiperspirant. The way an antiperspirant works is by inhibiting your sweat glands from producing sweat with the use of different chemicals.

There are so many kinds of antiperspirants available in the market but more often than not, they all contain the chemical aluminum chloride.

Second, you can try losing weight if you are on the heavy side.

Fats are used to produce heat. This is basically how you explain why a thin person rarely sweats in the other hand a fat person sweats a lot times even when it isn’t that hot to begin with.

Third, it may not be a very good idea to drink lots of alcohol when you are out and you want to impress your date by not sweating.

Alcohol actually elevates you body temperature. In order for you to not feel the cold, your body tells you to sweat more to cool you down.

The last tip that I can give you is to avoid drinking too much sugar. Coffee is traditionally a stimulant. The components of coffee such as caffeine and sugar both contribute to that.

As a stimulant, it makes your heart pump faster and increases your body temperature causing your to sweat.
